Hi and thank you for reading my second blog on the November issue of Nail Treats. I can't believe how quick it has come around and I can't wait to share with you all what I received in mine!
A Pinch of Pepper Gelish & ATJ Standing-O
I absolutely love this Gelish 'trends' I know we're a while off yet but it looks amazing over pastels for an Easter egg design that is easy and quick to do! I'm so pleased to have it in a polish version also, this means my clients can purchase to take home to do their toes or children's nails for matching manis.
TOP TIP Stir and wave before use as the glitter can sit in the bottom of the bottle when sat for a while or decant into a foil and use a gel brush for a more 'full' look.
ATJ Swarovski crystals
I am super excited that harmony are now retailing Swarovski! It means I can include these with my monthly harmony order which is great when trying to keep all orders in the same place. I received 'light rose' in my treats bag and I cannot begin to tell you how twinkly they are! I usually use AB so this was a fantastic opportunity to try another colour.
TOP TIP After cleansing buff your TIO, apply a tiny amount of secure to where you want to place your crystal, apply crystal, allow to dry then apply TIO - being careful to go AROUND the crystal, as it is genuine crystal, top coating over it will smooth and dull it and it will loose its appearance! On a full nail use a gel striper to go in between crystals to secure.
Moyra stamping starter kit
This is my FAVOURITE! In my starter kit I received a vintage stamping plate with so many designs to choose from, the one I
like the most is the script writing design and have used it on so many clients already! It also came with a black stamping polish, a stamper, a scraper and some templates for nail art, there are so many ideas that come from just this kit alone including layering.
TOP TIP work fast, the polishes are highly pigmented and pick up best when they are still wet, have everything ready for a smooth transaction from plate to nail.
Mundo sanitising hand Gel
This smells amazing! I can't quite put my finger on the scent, marzipan maybe? And due to its size it is perfect for mobile. I now buy a large refill tub and keep the small one on my desk to keep my desk minimalistic and top it up when I need too, since I have been using this clients have been asking if they can purchase as they are nice for their handbag and smell better than the ones bought in supermarkets! Win win!
TOP TIP you only need to use a tiny amount, a small pea size amount will go a long way, too much and your clients will be rubbing their hands for while!
So I got a mundo jar to match my Mundo gel which I'm super thrilled about, I love matching and it looks like my desk has had a revamp! I am a fan of all mundo products and this is great for my tools.
TOP TIP if using with mundo disinfectant only leave tools in for no longer than 10 minutes to avoid rusting your metal tools!
Prohesion sample kit
This is great for anyone who hasn't already tried the harmony system. It comes with sculpting forms, pink, white and clear acrylic powder and a sample size monomer. I sculpt all the time with these forms as they are sturdy, flexible to use and have a fantastic sticky backing, my favourite feature of the forms has got the be the guides, making it quick to sculpt the clients desired shape and achieve consistency in shape. I can't imagine using anything other than the Prohesion range of acrylic, it is medium-fast setting, has fantastic workability at moulding stage and the powders are extremely crisp in colour, it is also forgiving in different temperatures which is great for summer when needing to work slightly wetter!
Thank you for reading my blog I look forward to the next write up of SPECIAL CHRISTMAS SPARKLE EDITION 'Nail Treats!'
