Hi and welcome to this months edition of Nail Treats! Hope you've all had a wonderful month experimenting with the last edition!
Ruby Two Shoes
This is a beautiful and often underrated colour from the Red Matters collection, it has a pinky tone with a metallic/pearl finish when it catches the light and applies beautifully. Again this comes with the colour match in Morgan Taylor for a great retail opportunity or as another polish to add to your Mani/pedi collection!
ATJ Maple Spice Cuticle Balm
This is a great add on to your retail section in your salon, this works fantastically alongside nourish or ATJ cuticle oil to lock in the oils - it can also be used as lip balm! I love the smell of maple spice with the main scent being cinnamon, it's certainly been the most popular in my salon!
Soak Off 8oz
This is a much kinder alternative to using acetone to remove L&P and Gel Polish. With its added conditioners it will lock in the nails natural moisture ensuring they do not dry out, if your client is returning every 3 weeks for his/her Gel Polish you want something that is going to be gentle on the skin and nail to keep them a returning customer. I use it alongside ATJ Soak Off Foil Wraps to soak off Gelish in less than 10minutes - other brands may vary.
These are a fantastic for displaying the colour choice you have available to your clients in Gel Polish, Laquer, L&P and also for displaying your nail art on, I always have some simple designs handy ready to show my client as most of them are unsure of what they want and I update regularly with new designs/colour combinations! These are sturdy and the ring is strong unlike others I have used in the past.
Wooden Cuticle Sticks
These have so many uses! You can use them to apply gems, you can add some blutac to the end and apply a tip for practice, you can use to remove Gelish once it has soaked, you can push cuticles back with these especially on clients with diabetes, you can also roll in cotton, dip into remove and you can clean up your Lacquer or Gel Polish up so easily they are so versatile!
I love these for something quick and simple to do, my favourite are gold roses! To apply finish your service with top coat and cleanse, apply your filigree, top coat again, buff to remove any bumps and top coat to finish.
